Interesting article here about the State Police prepping to pull over everyone and their mommas for texting while driving.

The interview takes place with Representative Ray Kidd, a major supporter of the new laws. The most interesting part is where he explains that if you are under 20 years of age, you can’t use a mobile device and drive period.  However he admits to giving this interview while driving down the road!

I can understand the texting bit of the law, however people over the age of 40 are more likely to accidentally take a picture while trying to dial a phone number than any 20 year old I know.

From time to time, we all get some road rage going, because the person in front of us won’t get off their phone and drive.  Now think back, as you sped by them, possibly flipping them the bird, how old was that person?

Then we have to think, texting just might be the least of our worries.  Setting a GPS, skipping songs on the ipod, a screaming child could all be causes of distraction.  When are we going to outlaw little Jimmy from riding in the car all together?

If you are truly worried about safety, park the car prior to your phone interview.
