To answer your question @ArkansasBlog .  Yes, It is time for the UofA v. ASU match-up.
Simply take a look at the image above.  This shirt states, “RESPECT - ASU has it, UCA wants it, UofA lost it.”  Of course, I understand that this is purely a piece of propaganda used to make money and tout one’s program.  However, to suggest that there is an ounce of respect within or between any of these schools is a joke.
1.  ASU:  Although you might feel that you have gained a lot of respect over the past few years, you need to learn to give it.  Respect the fact that the last conference championship you have won was in 2005 where you finished the season 6-6.  Far from a banner year.
2.  UCA:  Probably the most distinguished Arkansas football program of the past few years, UCA although moving up to Division I-AA, has still managed to compete for Conference Championships.  Sad part is, during their probationary period they could not be awarded the Championship.  However, they have still let everyone in the conference know that they mean business, demand respect, and have gained it quickly.
3.  UofA:  The University that gets all the respect, but doesn’t give a single inch back.  The shirt should read, “RESPECT, UofA gets it and the rest are our bitches.”  It is a slap in the face to both ASU and UCA that they can’t get a game in with “The University.”  It is sad that they still live in fear that any school would become what they are, or they would ever become what ASU or UCA is.
For disclosure purposes, I attended ASU. A t-shirt that claims that ASU gets respect, as compared to any other schools in the state, is a stretch of the imagination.  Don’t believe me?  Move to Little Rock.
